Answers to Prayers

There are 270 Missionaries in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission :) 70 of them are sisters! That's more than TRIPLE the number at the beginning of 2013. YAY the work of the Lord is going forth!

Having dinner after a training meeting.
I'm so glad Grandma found the key after she prayed. I had a very similar experience this week. We had been knocking on doors all night in an apartment with very little success. We were exhausted and were heading back to our car- but the key had fallen off the ring! We prayed and searched and worried- then we both looked at each other and said "LORI!" We had stopped by a potential investigator named Lori that night and we had completely forgotten about it (tells you how tired we were)- so we retraced our steps and found it really quick :) The Lord tells us things very subtly and if we aren't in tune- we'll miss those cues. I've also noticed that the most powerful impressions of what we need to do comes to both my companion and I at the same time. When we both have a distinct impression to be somewhere, then we know that the Lord is REALLY trying to tell us something.

This week many miracles have occurred. Our zone reached a high of 50 restoration lessons this week despite the lack of time! We came in contact with a lot of new people, but many of our appointments and joint teachers fell through this week, it was unbelievable! So unfortunately, we had to resolve to quite a bit of tracting. Maybe the Lord was giving us that time to really hone our contacting skills, because we've found many ways that we can improve. On Sunday I experienced a tender mercy! We were mourning the fact that we couldn't have sacrament for the third time in a row because of all the cancellations and weather problems- but Saturday night our ZLs called telling us the Mission president was going to have a sacrament meeting in the mission home!! It was such a miracle! We felt much better after that meeting.

Our president sent us his weekly letter telling us to have a firm mind. Yesterday and today my mind has definitely been wandering- thank goodness for inspired leaders. He completely addressed my need to have a firm mind that is dedicated to the work of the Lord. Besides this weekend, and really throughout it, I've felt the light of the Lord in my life and in the lives of others. I've found that when I focus on being humble and diligent and in asking the Lord to direct me in all things, His work runs much more smoothly on my end. When We pray about our goals to Heavenly Father- we always find the enthusiasm to push through being tired and smile despite the rejection we find.

Just some funny!
Our most progressing investigator is still P. B. We continue to see him every week and he is still waiting patiently to be baptized. Thank you for the prayers on behalf of the C. family! Can't remember if I told you that story, but R. hasn't dropped us! She just had a really bad day. REALLY bad. We addressed some concerns and she is still open to learning about the gospel. What a relief. What a blessing!

Thank you so much!
Love,
Sister Roberts

PS
Also-Wanted to let everyone know that it is no longer hitting the ice age here- I am only wearing a sweater today!! YAY! Still struttin' the big boots;the snow is still above my knees.
It's weird how 20-30 degrees feels like California now! In Alaska, walking in 50 degrees was torture! What was wrong with me!? ha ha.
Just another thought :) Love you guys!
