Easter in Mexicano?

FAMILIA!!

HOLA! This year was a very Hispanic Easter!
So this whole week we've been doing service that is related to Easter. One day we helped a member stuff candy into plastic eggs- then we helped decorate eggs at Sister G.'s house. Her family is Hispanic and they are also less active in church because of their health. So I guess in the Hispanic tradition- people decorate eggs, stuff them full of confetti then break them over each others heads. It's crazy!!! We were invited over for Easter lunch :) So many people were there! All family. And it was a mess! Confetti was everywhere.
Not gonna lie though- it was pretty tough. Being away from home and hearing some bad news about an investigator was not good for my enthusiasm. Sister H was a little worried- but I knew that if I just got to work I would feel better. It worked! It was a beautiful, balmy day and 10 seconds after we headed out we came across a young man who was washing his car and when we told him about the restoration I could see the spirit working on his heart! That was all I needed to lift my spirits. The rest of the evening was wonderful!

We had Zone Conference In the beginning of this week and it was so much fun! We had interviews with the mission president and then I went on an exchange with Sister Smith in La Cross, WI. She's been having a hard time and just needed to buckle down and work to shake it off. We went biking! It was so much fun! I love to bike!

I hope you guys had an amazing Easter :) The Lord is SO awesome. If you guys haven't watched the"Because of Him" video that's on LDS.org. WATCH IT!!!! It is so powerful!~~ We were told to show it to EVERYONE!

ALSO! READ YOUR SCRIPTURES!!! I keep meeting families who just haven't kept that simple habit up- either personally or as a family. There is such a power that comes from reading  just a little every day and making a point to talk to Heavenly father whenever possible. I promise that you guys will feel a difference in your day when you read the Book of Mormon in the morning :)

I love you guys so much!
Hurrah for Israel!
Love, sister Roberts
